I know someone who is looking for an affordable V12 Beemer, up to 6 years old.

Any thoughts as to a good-value model to buy and what sort of performance the car would give?

760i = 0-60 in 5.5secs, top speed 155mph.

BTW
V12 = Bloody Expensive
730d = Affordable

Not true, you can buy a 2003 year BMW 760i fully specced with 14km on the clock for only 57000euro

maybe a sexy 850csi ... with the iconic V12 (without vanos) ... and that will set you back roughly 23000euro

Used V12 MBs and BMWs seem to have much worse residuals than their V8 counterparts so are better deals. However, I have heard many times that the V12s are unreliable - something to think about.

Mate of mine bought a 1999 BMW 740il individual for ?10500. It had every single extra possible including 2 phones, rear electric seat, all the were heated, ventilated and masageing.

It also had picnic tables in the rear.
