What are the best performance RFT's for a 535i sport.

Or are the stock Dunlop RFT's as good as they get? Thanks for the advice.

IMO the bridgestones are better than the Dunlops (having driven both). But good quality convensional rubber is superior to the RFT's in almost every way.

I thought that the RFT's had a stiffer sidewall and are better while cornering. And from what I understand, the non-RFT's give too much of a softer/cushy ride on the LCI suspension.

I have Goodyear Eagles on both the 17 inch and 18 inch sets....no complaints.

The only good runflat is a dead runflat. Give 'em up and get some Michelin PS2's. They make the e60 into the car it was meant to be. I've had my e60 on Dunflop and Bridgerock RFTs and now I am running on non-RFT Michelin PS2's. The RFT's were like riding on wooden wheels when compared to the PS2's. The Dunflops were the worst of the lot. Given the frequency that I have had flats on the road over the past 40 years (never), I don't see the RFT's worth the poor ride and noise characteristics you trade for the ability to drive a few miles with no/low pressure.

I'm selling my Bridgetone's off my 550. They are like new and should fit your 535 w/18" rims.
PM me if you are interested.

I have a 2007 525i and its a non sport version. Whats the best non RFT for this? Is Michelin still good for this? I need a smooth ride without feeling the bumps much.

I suspect BMW did most of its initial development on the Dunlops (German company) and the performance figures I have seen look a bit better with the Dunlops vs. others. I think the tires are best when new, and degrade gradually until they become a real annoyance.

I personally like the Dunlops, and I like getting them free even better...
