Diesel of all the big brands is okay... So texaco, esso, shell, mobil and fina are great.

I've been warned for white pumps fuel. These are little tankstops in villages that sell nameless fuel.. What I've heard is that they buy from all the major companies but these fuels not always have all the adhesives that are protecting or better for your engine.

Your absolutely correct!
As long it's one of the major brands it's fine.
E60525d, maybe the one who told you that was referring to the new Diesel V-Power...

well, my good friend's parents and uncles own a few shell gas stations. From what i have learned from him, all the major brands tend to have detergent in them which is cleaner for the cars fuel system. Shell, Sunoco, Exxon, Fina, Chevron, Mobile all have detergent.

The not so major brands like Raceway, Hess, Wawa, Getty, etc. do not have that extra added feature :'( . (hey no wonder they are low in price ). But IMHO if you have a 60K car...you better spend an extra $2 to fill it up with the right gas.

Just stay away from BioDiesel when travelling on the continent.
