Where the 101 S. merges to 5 S. be extra careful as there is a freakin huge pothole that was resurrected after the storm. There are two lanes and it's on the right lane.

I came home to check my wheel as I heard a loud noise at impact. Bent wheel.

Any suggestions on where I could get this fixed in LA or OC? This shouldn't be dangerous to drive right? Anyone know how much this would run me? Damnit.

Got the wheel setup last month.. ugh...

Wow!!! That's a big dent. You just got the wheels too right? Cal Trans needs to get on those potholes. It hurts me to see that on those new wheels.

Sorry about whar happened to your wheels. there was a report on KTLA last week that you can reimburse your repair coat or damage cost because of the pot holes try looking at ktla.com for more info about it

http://www.truwheel.com/ in the valley is where i've heard from a lot of people, haven't had a chance to use them myself tho, they're in the valley

i've had these guys in downtown la fix a couple www.mywheelrepair.com/, one rim cost me 100 bucks which only had one bend, i had another rim with four bends, one on the inside that they fixed for 150. good luck, the bends i had were worse than yours so i do think they can be fixed.

Thanks man - were they able to fix it quickly on the same day?

i wished, but they took almost a week. the first time they were able to straighten them without taking off the powdercoat. no need for a re-coat, which i was very happy about. the second time around, with more bends, they did chip a bit of the coat off, but not enough for me to want to re-powder coat them. leon or german are the guys in charge over there fyi.

A week? Wow.

And I just realized that I will need to have my suspensions checked out and perform an alignment. Sucks...

Sucks Jason but glad Michael sorted it out. I've rolling on an alignment-less setup for the past like 6 months haha. Not the smartest idea but my rear tires are almost done so I'm waiting until I get fresh ones on to get an alignment.

Update after 12hours of the incident:

I was looking into getting it fixed. Quote: $150 + $50 (extra matte black coat) + mount/unmounting tires = $220 from a reputable place in OC.

I don't have the time and needed a quick fix. Thus, I decided to just get a new wheel instead.

Thank you Michael (Acuteperformance) for helping me get a new wheel set up so fast! He contacted Avant Grade for me and the guys at AG are awesome. Checked tire/suspension for me - fine.

FYI - I was going about 80+ on the 101 when I hit a 'grand canyon' sized pothole. It must have F'd up a lot of cars and I've reported that spot to Cal Trans. Be careful out there guys.

Pardon the poor quality BB pix. Bent wheel in a box and my new wheel
