So it would be OK to throw my mats in the washing machine?

The mats in my e39 were washed at least every fall before putting in the rubber... so that's at least 8 times.

Probably closer to 16 as I would wash them mid season too.

No tearing or fraying on the binding. No loose threads. Nothing.

Not to say that the e60 mats would hold up the same. The backing seems a little less durable than the e39's.

I am in the same boat. I have black mats too and it actually does not look bad. I thought it did at first but grew fond of it.

I have black rummer mats for winter and beige textile for summer. Of course beige is more stylish, but also black looks good. In my precious car I had beige rubber mats for winter and they never looked good and were nightmare to clean.

Also decoration trim has a little impact. I have anthracite maple wood trim and it match well with black mats.

My car came with beige interior and beige mats, the mats stain very easily.Would black mats/beige interior be a good option? Carpet or rubber ?
I'd appreciate if somebody could post pictures of beige interior/black mats.Thanks.
That's exactly what I did when I ordered my car I simply asked for black mats instead of beige and it looks great.

if you look at my old posts you will find a pic.

Regards,
