I just picked up my 550 yesterday. I was nervous on the Auburn. I love it. Everyone comments on how good it looks. Common word used to describe it is "Rich".
If you really want to turn heads and make 'em drool.....................Go with the Auburn!!! It is a conversation piece indeed.

I am afraid the charm of Auburn will disappear once lower end cars copy it. I've started seeing it in peugot 206s and nissan muranos. But beige is ever contemporary.I even like the two tone theme of beige and black in new X5s.I am sure that will feature in the future e60s as well.

Does anyone have Truffle brown as the interior? Whts ur opinion on that?I think it goes well with alpine white, amethyst and silver.
Me thinks dark interiour on a large car, light interiour on a small car, hence the black in my E60 and the champagne (near enough white) in the Z4.
I must say I like that dark brown leather Audi does, if combined with the right exteriour colour.

My Ride: 2007 525i Monaco Blue w/ baige interior, auto, and premium package. My first BMW. Moving up from a 2004 Acura TSX.
It took me a while to decide on the color combination on my new E60. I finally went with the Monaco blue and beige. I think that this is a very ?luxurious? combination. My other options were to go for a more ?sporty? look with the grays and black interior.
My previous car had a charcoal gray exterior with black leather and polished aluminum trim. It looked very sporty. I personally do not like ?wood? trim with black leather, it just doesn?t look right. Aluminum or even carbon fiber trim looks better.
While the black leather hides stains more easily, it has a tendency to become ?shinny? in the areas where you seat and touch. This makes it look ?worn out? sooner that the beige colored leather seats. It is also very difficult to apply conditioner without the seats looking all shiny and oily. I had to be extra careful when applying conditioner in my previous car. It was harder for me to keep that ?factory new? look on the black leather than it had been on previous beige/tan leather interior cars that I have owned.
