I usually drive my 550i daily, but today I got to fool around in my brother's 02' GT2 (approx 700BHP).. vs my bro's CLS63 AMG (approx 520BHP).

Watch this, and turn up the volume:

For those of you familiar with Cerritos, this is in Cerritos Auto Square.

Not sure what your'e trying to say. That GT2 will beat most cars off the line even stock. You can't derive any opinions of the performance of the CLS63 from that vid.

Yeah with the Performance Package, it puts out 550hp and 590lb-ft. Without it, it's about 520hp I believe.

You're totally right. The CLS63 does provide amazing performance, no doubt about that. Not trying to say don't buy one, but just sayin don't expect to be top dog when you set foot in one. However, now that I think about it - the upcoming 6.3 liter V8 twin turbo CLS63 is going to be a completely different story. I'm also looking forward to prospective TTV8 M5. 2012 will be an interesting year for Benz & BMW with this heated competition to put their best foot forward.

As the OP's brother that owns both these cars..... I rather keep my CLS than the GT2. That is if I had to choose one or the other. The CLS is just so much more comfortable and is also pretty powerful.
