Sup guys.

I'd like to ask a question, hoping you guys can help me.

I just had a new battery installed at the dealer. So given a brand new battery, under what condition would that battery die? Other than leaving the car in radio mode for a prolong period of time of course.

If i dont drive it for like 3 days? Or I only drive it locally (around 15-20 mins) for a week? It seems like battery is a big issue (it is at least for me) so I'd like to get that cleared up.

If it does fail, can I just buy one from autozone or something and put it in myself without the coding?

What are other types of problem that can be repaired by myself instead of taking to the dealer?

If possible, we should compose a thread to list out the problems that need to be taken to the dealer and those that can be solved by ourselves so that people won't get their money fed to the stealership.

You can do it yourself, I'm not sure how, but apparently it is possible

the main point for this thread is to compile a list of the things that we can solve ourselves without resorting to the dealer, to save money that is.
