I have a 2004 530 diesel. The radio and the idrive display are not working. Battery goes dead overnight. Was told it could be a radio problem as the fuses are not blown. We did notice that the passenger side carpet was very wet and was wondering if there was a module for the radio located under there.

I think you need to clear our the drain holes under the main engine management unit.
Assuming you have an E60 it's under the pollen filter (known as the microfilter) on the passenger side. You need to remove the pollen filter then the plastic underneath. Under here is the main engine management unit sitting above a big bucket shaped hole. At the bottom of the hole are drain pipes. When these clog up the whole thing will fill up with water and I suspect overflow into the passenger side air vents. Get it all cleaned out and all the electronics dried out then see where you are.
