Hi,
I replaced my battery on 07 530i. Everything was fine for 5 months , last night while driving i heard a small blow up sound from back of the car. I thought a rock or something hit the bottom but this morning I couldnt start or jump start . I tried battery tender but , light blink which means battery is not connected. When i checked the battery at the back , i saw the red battery cable is disconnected at the thick black part . similary to this

Airbag did not deploy.
How can I start the car ? if/how can I fix it ?

The cable has tnt and for some reason it got agitated enough for the car to think it was in a collusion of some sorts that is why when you replace your battery you have to be extra gentle with that cable. Un fortunately I don't see another way of get your car going besides replacing the positive cable I don't know of any quick patches besides the dirty, hairy, tried tow guy

I have an extra one of those cables. They're pretty pricey at about $250 new. I would take your car to a dealer or independent to see what could of triggered it to blow. If you get a new one, that might blow as well.

I guess something triggered the safety feature. Before you replace it you best find out what set it off so I doesn't go boom when you connect a new one!!

Best to have it towed to a shop that can get it all checked out for you

when you say you replaced it did you actually do it or did you have it done. Was it registered when installed? If not that could make it go boom! From my understanding the computer can manage the battery that it has, once you replace the battery the new battery has to be registered if not it continues to charge it like the old battery. And that is not a good thing Boom!
