Hey guys, i recently noticed my bass goes off for couple of seconds and then kicks in again, I tried looking around the forums and there was a guy with kind of the same issue on a 7 series .. and i think it was the amp or something like that.
I was wondering how big of a deal it is to replace the amp, and maybe do a little upgrade?? Nothing too crazy.. but i would like a bigger BoOm Boom.. Thank you all, you are the best.

Depends on what you have. If you have the top hifi, then the amp will be pricey brand new ($1200). You can get one used for around $5-600 but you would have to get it reprogrammed yourself, dealer won't do it. In terms of an upgrade that will be kinda difficult unless you get one of those harness that splice you into the bmw amp, you can't bypass the amp because of the MOST bus but you could get the harness which adds to it. In other words you will still have to replace the amp even if you want to upgrade(to after market).
