Basic philosphy question

My Ride: 545Ai, Silver grey, black, poplar, Sport Pkg, Logic 7, Comfort seats, Nav, HUD, PDC, rear shades, and satellite radio
As a soon to be 5 series owner I keep trying to make sense why BMW included certain features in the 5 series and not others.
LED brake-lights - I think it is kind of strange that both the 7's and 3's both come with LED brake-lights, but that they were left off the new 5 series. I wondered if this was on purpose, so when the next bump in features are released it is one more thing to add that would make a buyer consider upgrading.
Bluetooth - I wondered what the holdup is. The 3 series has bluetooth oem as well as retrofit kits out, and they work with both Nav and BMW Assist.
Are there any others I am missing?

Sorry should have been more specific. I don't believe that Bluetooth is available here in the states.

It just became an available option. The problems are solved. I don't think it's still no option in the US, since everything seems to work fine over here now.
The MY2005 has just started its production, so there are no MY2005 cars in the US as of today, I guess... but soon...

There is no way to understand BMW philosophy other than to say "It's BMW."
Most of us have learned to simply accept the fact that many things they do don't make any sense...
It's actually quite easy to accept these things as long as they still make the cars so fun to drive!!
