Well, the LCI's exterior had changed little and more importantly, the mechanics of it all has not changed... Which only comes to show that the E60 is/was ahead of its time..... With the last two E class, Mercedes claims there are over 2,000 changes under the hood.... BMW doesn't have to do this to 'undermine' the owners of the pre-LCI model... To be honest, the main changes to the LCI line up, IMHO, are the engine range.....

One of the other features that has not been spoken too much about is the 'regenerative braking'.... That was supposed to be one of the highlights of the LCI but I haven't read alot about it.

I don't think the E60's rear lights look 'Asian'.... in fact, it is the Hondas et al that have copied the E60s' design.... so I am of the opinion that the design was so good that the others just fell in line.
