i like that bamboo, its unique. Its funny how one takes a black painted plastic trim, slaps the name "Piano Black" on it, and everyone goes goo goo over it. Saw that with the Rs4 a few years ago, and its still popular marketing.

My 535xi should be in by the middle of this week. I ordered the Bamboo Anthracite trim but I'm sort of having second thoughts on it. I really liked it at first and when I ordered it but now I think the Dark Poplar Wood Grain trim looks nice too. Leather is black.

What do you think?

I ordered the same 1 for 535xi, and im not sure if I should cahnge it or not...might be to late now
keep having second thoughts

Same. I actually thought it was similar to gloss black from the stock picture at BMWUSA before I went to this forum and checked. The dealership didn't have a model of the trim during my visit but I went with it thinking gloss black . But I really don't mind I guess.

I have Antracite Bamboo in my 525D and I think it looks really good.

I have a picture also, which somewhat shows the difference between bamboo when the sun is shining on it. Actually, I like the red/brownish impression it gives.

I went with the light popular wood as I like the contrast between it and the black trim much better than everything running together...I'm sure you will like your Bamboo though and the rest of the car too

I just bought a 05 545, picking it up tomorrow, and it has the Bamboo trim.. I think it's hot. Plus, there doesn't seem to be the norm. Just my two cents.

I did not know that the wood trim can crack? I have the X5 for almost 4years now and not a sign of wear or tear except maybe a few minor scratches maybe at most. Same goes with the E90 I've had for 3 years. I'm surprised it can crack.

It can't be real wood - surely ?
