My 535xi should be in by the middle of this week. I ordered the Bamboo Anthracite trim but I'm sort of having second thoughts on it. I really liked it at first and when I ordered it but now I think the Dark Poplar Wood Grain trim looks nice too. Leather is black.

What do you think?

 

I didn't like the color of the wood (it had a greenish cast) and it also looked cheap.

From a distance, it looks black and not so cheap but up close is a different story.

Others have posted that they like it.

I opted for dark poplar.

 

I love the anthracite bamboo and don't like poplar. But everyone has different tastes... what's important is that you like it. If you don't, then it's unfortunate and a little expensive to replace, but it's not the end of the world. If your car arrives and you don't like the colour of the leather or the paint, that's a different story !!

To be honest, i'm sure you'll love it, it's too late to be having second thoughts - just look forward to delivery day and think about what's about to arrive.

 

In my mind, the bamboo trim has a contemporary look to it. Once you get the car, I am sure it will be fine, but do let us know your thoughts! Everyone is going to have a view on what is the best trim / colour combination, but the most important thing is that you like it...

I'm sure I'll love it, was just looking for some feedback I am definitely glad I got the Black Metallic paint, though. I was at the dealer on Friday and I was looking at a Jet Black car again and man it shows EVERYTHING. Fingerprints everywhere. And I don't know what the deal was with the paint but it was a brand new 2008 and already had swirls in it? I've stuck with silver cars mostly because you can't tell when it's dirty until you get up close. And if someone says my car is filthy I can tell them it's gray, not silver I do love the Jet Black paint when it's freshly washed but after driving around the block it's dirty again. At least the metallic doesn't show dirt quite as easily.

 

To each his own, but I think the anthracite bamboo is very classy. Your color selection should be stunning: blk sapphire, blk leather, anthracite bamboo.

 

I think Gray Poplar will be best for Black/Gray leather seats. I wished it in my BMW with gray leather seats.

I like Bamboo Anthracite a lot.

 

I went in wanting to order the bamboo anthracite, but after seeing it in person I was not impressed. I went with the light poplar wood trim for some contrast with the black leather and anthracite headliner.
