My first dent.
The other day, my wife let go of the door whilst opening it on a windy day. It flew open and hit a fence post, which had a metal bolt sticking out of it. The result....a dent about 1CM across, and about 5mm deep, which has split the paint. The dent is right on a weld seam too, so a "Smart" repair is not possible.
Any one had such repairs done to their cars....if so, did you have to have a new door skin, or did you have the dent filled, or what?
Also, what do you reckon I might pay for such a repair in the UK? Any ideas?
Cheers
Robbie.
P.S. I've forgiven her now.

Ouch, I had one just like that the other day, was caused by the car which parked next to me. I tried vacuum dent repair service but was only able to recover 70% because it was sitting right below the crease. Im so mad.

Ouch. That's a tough spot.
It may have to be repaired from the outside & repainted.
That may be too close to the edge/seam for a ding-man dude to get at.
Good luck.

Over here in the states we have several national companies that specialize in fixing these types of dents. I just had a door dent repaired for $129 us. You would never know it was dented. See http://www.dent-busters.com/
Good luck.
