Just wanted to let you all know if you need a back up of you DVD you can do it. I made a copy of my disc and tried it in the car. Worked like a champ!!!!!
Also it makes for cheaper costs if you live near someone and want to save a few extra bucks.

Going to Vogelweh this weekend so I can really play with the NAV!!

I can also confirm kigera's report of successful copyability. The backup even worked in a friend's Mini. I used Nero (winXP Pro) and copied at 4x.

Would love the 2004-2 dvd *cough*

If anyone could do a burn, I would be more than happy to pay for disks and postage.

I would take this offline.... Seriously, there is a reason Navteq charges for the datasets.... If you're going to skirt the license agreement (which you agree to by opening the pack) then don't proudly boast it here...

I never opened the pack, the dealer did. Be happy to make you a copy if I find someone with a dvd burner. Will get back to you.

I wasn't suggesting to cheat the company in anyway. I was letting people know that if they wanted to back up their original, it was possible. However, If you own the original, and cannot make copies, I will be glad to copy one for you and ship it.
