Finally, I was able to get wife to see the car in person before I take the plunge and I hate it when she keeps toss in options/issues at this late stage of my procurement cycle.

 One of her issue was the backseats are too upright! Even though I am trying to disagree with her, the back seats are indeed too upright. they are at almost 90 degree. I don't see it as a problem with my kids right now, but in 6 months, my 6 yr old would be out off car seat and might find the seat uncomfortable as kids often fall asleep in car rides.

Does the split seat option changes the angle of the seats?

Opinions, please....

<sorry if this is a duplicate for festers...>

Since you cannot change wife at this point - try with flowers or a dinner.

FWIW, my 6 year old has no problems sleeping in the back of the 5er. We use a Britax Star Riser Comfy booster and there are head rests that he likes to use to lean his head against on long drives. My wife finds the seating to be proper and she actually likes it.

Also, keep in mind that normall guidelines call for booster seats up until 8 years, 80 lbs and 58 inches.

My 6 year old daughter uses the Comfy booster as well and has no problems sleeping during the car ride.

Mine is opposite. I thought the back seat is too much slope down.

Great Newfie... but I think he's outgrown the booster seat.

Hey Ray,
What's that protector on the back seat? Is this an original BMW rear seat protector? I need one for my dog, but I can't bring myself to shell out $275 for it - is it any good?
