Hello

I am having the following error message today on my 2006 525 Xi. AWD DSE 4x4 System and DSC has malfunction. Limited driving stability. As well as Caution Before engaging gear, press brake. When leaving the vehicle. Switch off the engine Accident hazard. Gear engage without brake possible.

I also notice the rear brake light are on all the time.

The car is still under the remaining 2 year Certified warranty.

Any help would be great, I would like to know what is happening before I go to BMW.

Thank you,

Thank you,
maybe a battery discharge??? That's the error message i get when my battery charge is low. Turn your steering wheel all the way to the right and then all the way to the left to reset the system.

Hello

Do I turn the steering wheel in the auxillary position or with the car started in park. I am also able to start the car without my foot on the brakes.

Thank you,

Edwin

I had my battery replaced last year under warranty. It is amazing how much information they know. They knew my average driving distance per day. They said that since I only drive 15 miles a day, it is not enough, and its not good for the battery. I guess driving to work and parking the car for the whole day and driving home is not a normal habit. I have been using my automatic window and sunroof opening function before entering the car, this must drain the battery. It has been hot and humid in Vancouver, 91+ degrees. I tried the right left steering wheel, still the same error. I will take it to BMW on Saturday. Thanks.
