Thank you for your help...for now the problem seems to have been resolved by moving the steering wheel right and left.

Initially that worked for me but eventually I needed a permanent fix.

+1 ... Your dealer will likely find that sensor in the steering column will be out of spec. Happened on my '07 530xi when it was about 2 yrs old. Even though the warnings will go away for now they will come back and stay on. Take a phone pic next time and show your dealer's service adviser. When under warranty I don't suggest you try to DIY!

Wait till you start having problems with your fuel pump. Got to love our N54's.

The invoice on mine says 27-10-7-546-671 Set Position Motor. The narrative says "Replaced Transfer Case Actuator." The fault was #52D4. I don't have any pricing since it was under warranty and everything is zero. As one of the other guys said, if your car is under warranty let the dealer fix it.

FYI...N54 HPFP Fuel pumps warranty has been extended to 10 yrs 120k miles.
