Hello ..we have a 2006 525i. Located in the front inside wall of the center console (below arm rest) is a round hole with a little sliding cover. Is this an audio input that I can use with my cell phone? If so where can I buy the cable that plugs into this fitting? Thanks Henry

YOU are correct ...it is an "air hole" .....ha ha It looked like a audio input which I found out as I tried to plug in a 3.5mm jack and felt the AC pouring out of there !!! Feel like a nut case !!!

if you dont have the aux-in from factory then you will have the air-hole.

No I was wrong about that. The hole in the back inside the console is an air hole...lets AC in there to keep that section cool.

Default Aux port

I have a 2006 525i as well. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get an Aux port installed in the car. Also, how invasive would it be to get it installed? Do they have to tear up the console to get it setup? Thanks.

Yeah I looked into adding an aux port in the glove box in the dash.... and aborted that idea because involves too much work behind the dash....and I dont want to risk anything getting messed up. dealer wanted $300 to do it.....not worth it to me.
