I would first connect everything and hear the sound quality . (people reported back that it is missing bass, if it is too low for you, THEN you could consider removing the resistors, otherwise I wouldn't touch it )

I got it to work!! The bmw did come with the pins installed but I did not have an empty slot. What I had to do was remove the pins from the cable and connect them to the existing connector that was already on my car and voila, worked like a charm. So I did get to keep CD,NAV, AND MY AUX
