Hi,
On my dial to left of the steering wheel there is a manual setting two clicks to the right of the center position. This position will turn on the low beam manually. On the left side of the center position there is an identical icon / symbol for the low beam but it has the letter "A" included in the symbol.
Does this mean that my car is specified with automatic headlamp (on/off) pending ambient lighting conditions? I did not order this feature. Is it standard spec for E60?
How do I determine if I got the Adaptive Headlights?
/Knubblo

YUP. you have the Automatic headlamp.
Easiest way to tell is park up against a wall and just turn your steering wheel to the passenger side and see if the lights follow. Turning it towards the Drivers side wont work when you're not moving... its there to prevent you from blinding on comming traffic when parked on the street.

If you have adaptive headlights (only available with Xenons) they will only work in the "A" position.

All E60's have the automatic headlight function that only works in the "A" position. thumbsup.gif

There is a small green LED on the light switch if you have adaptive headlights fitted.
I have a small LED which is lit when I put the lightswitch in the A mode. Does this really mean that I have adaptive lights? I tried to simulate it being parked in front of my garage but I could not determine any change of light (horisontal)
