Have any of the European members who have access to an Autobahn hit the big 250km/h (155mph)? How did the car handle and sound at that speed? Its very hard to hit any decent speed on the UK motorways what with the amount of police speed cameras and high volumes of traffic.
Tell us your experience, What would a 545 really do with no restriction

I like to add to that side wind will "shake". But funny thing is that when You go over .... 200 kph/125mph this behavior dissappears! And I don't have sport suspension.
Drove 2 days ago 255kph between Berlin and Rostock. I LOVED EVERY SECOND!
In Finland we have 100kph/60mph at highways in winter. It felt like... well You all can imagine that.

This week I rented a 530D for work in Germany. Hit 240k/hour a few times. The car has H rated winter tires, so of course it is not too smart to go so fast. I just did it a few times, most of the time driving at 210k/h when traffic allowed me to safely drive that fast.
These cars are made for the speed. They feel clumsy below 70 milers per hour, and feel great at about 120 mph, which is a good crusing speed and about as fast as you will ever find space to drive in the daytime in Europe. At night in Germany, 250km/h is possible. Sunday morning is good also becuase there are no trucks, and therefore the right lane moves better and less people coming into the left lane to pass.
Look out for Dutch people towing campers (cravans) with little Korean cars going 80 km/hour on the motorway in Germany. They cause 90% of all trouble and delays when in the busy seasons. No offense to the Dutch, I love Holland, but please buy a proper car for towing and stay out of the left lane!!!!

My Ride: 2011 520dA coming up.
Caravans are lifestyle for many a Dutch family. And I do agree that 99% of them should not be allowed on the Autobahn! They definately are a great nuisance.
Maybe I could show them how to do it..272hp should be enough to maintain some decent cruising speeds!
I did 250 yet, and there was more to come (without caravan)
In the 70's we had a caravan driving school
Kidding, these were caravan races. Very hilarious
