Auto Wipers

guys not sure if anyone knows of a fix for this but one day my wipers just gave up on the automatic position. i push in the button to green for auto wipers and they just act brain dead. nothing happens.... anybody know of a way to reset the wipers or something? all info well appreciated..

I've heard of this problem before, it happened to a colleague of mine, he ended up changing the sensor in the windscreen. Surely there must be a way of diagnosing the problem, know anyone who can read the car to check for fault codes in your area?

yeah i have the Bavarian Technic diag.. i will run it today and see what errors i get

The sensor is easy to get to. Just pop off the rear view mirror square surround (splits in 2 pieces) and that gains you access to the rain sensor, which is just stuck to the windshield and has a plug connector on it.

I have a working one that i'll let go for cheap if you want it......when I had my windshield replaced they replaced the sensor too, and I asked the tech if I could have the old one, since there was nothing wrong with it.
If you decide to buy new...seems like it was only around $50 from the dealer.

Maybe it's something easy, like the sensor just released from the windshield and is laying behind the square cover

thanks for the info, im going to check it out today and ill let you know if i need that sensor...
