Auto tilt steering pops 1 time when you touch it after

My Ride: 2007 Sapphire Black Metallic 525i. Beige Dakota Leather, Premium package, bluetooth, BMW Assist, Xenon adaptive lights, Sirius radio
Is this something to worry about or is this a whiney issue ? Is this something better solved by just turning the radio up? 
After exiting the car the wheel tilts up. When starting the car it goes to my preferred setting. When you grasp the wheel after it goes into the preferred setting the steering wheel mechanism make a pop sound then it is quiet.
