Auto headlights when Alarming car

Can someone please confirm if this is possible and how's its done.
When Alarming the car, have the lights power on for around 30 seconds.
I know it can be done manually but my mates merc does this automatically and its a great option for parking in side streets at night.

if you mean when you leave the car the headlights stay on to show you the way...yea this is possible but unfortunetly it is not automatic set the length (in seconds) you want from the idrive settings menu under vechile settings--->lights...then before leaving your car you should pull the headlamp liver towards you like your flashing a person..this should be done when the car is off and key out of ignition, i think...
