I forgot to add, I have a 545 M Sport.

I have not found anyone in Australia who is any good to be honest. Importing from the US or UK is often easier, faster and cheaper. I was in the US last month, and dropped into RPI and also met Nerweezy from Trinity Autosports, both companies trump anything offered here.

yeah i agree getting things online have a better range and is cheaper. the thing is, some parts are too expensive to import over because of size or weight thats why i try to find local.

I m in Perth, but i bought my 540i from Melb, very quick & hassle free transaction, delivery very timely as well. Especially WA only has 1 BMW dealer (autoclassic) for the entire state

and if anyone is in Melb, i recommend a BMW specialist, John from BMW autowerk
http://www.bmautowerks.com.au/

He inspected my E60 when purchases in Melb, and did a pretty detail job on looking after my car.
at the time, i asked him to do the ipod integration for me, but later found out, it couldnt be done unless I take out the CD stacker (only can have either 1, not both), he sources all the information, work for me from US & UK, and never charge me for anything.

no worry mate,
i didnt end up doing it .....coz...i wanna keep the stacker instead....my wife said for the kids to put in their children songs
but John quoted me was something like under $600.....and is pretty much same as oem bmw verison of integration (i.e. steering wheel & idrive control, the ipod in glove box etc)
i think if u go to Melb Bmw in south yarra...they prob cost u $800-900 ...so a bit of savings there...
I think Melb also got a couple other bimmer specialist around...when i did a search on google. But this Autowerk I went to is in Oakleigh.

greetings to this Aust sub-forum from Singapore.

I came across this exhaust/muffler name "Varex" made by X-Force ,an Aust company.
Its interesting to me, as it can control the loudness thru a butterfly valve.
If u guys happen to have some reviews or known some guys fitted such exhaust onto any BMW, pls let me know.
I had emailed from them before, but so far no BMW had fitted it.

Hi all, I am from Melbourne and have been a BMW enthusiast for many years. I currently own a 2004 E60 BMW 545i steptronic, which is my 7th BMW in the last 9 years, you can see my previous BMW's in my signature. I bought my first BMW back in 2000 which was the E28 M535i, and so have been addicted to these cars ever since. I cannot describe my passion for this make in words alone, I was fortunate enough to visit BMW headquarters in Munich back in May 2008, where I was given a special tour of BMW Welt, the museum was still under construction at the time. I was also given a tour at the BMW Research & Development centre and saw the F01 7 series driving around in disguise, a few months before it was revealed. I was also told some basic information or the idea behind the 5 series GT concept but promised to keep it a secret until it was revealed earlier this year. I was very fortunate to drive the E92 BMW M3 SMG on the autobahn, which I did legally at top speed, and that was a major thrill in itself.

I visit this site everyday and have learnt alot about the E60 and it's great to finally start an Australian sub forum. I bought my E60 from BMW Brisbane 2 years ago and it has been a delight to drive and own.

Here is a link to the BMW's I have owned, (all except one E34 535i which I didn't take a photo of) plus a short video of driving the E92 BMW M3 in Munich, as well as some other cars I have owned in the past.
