August sales of the 5 Series were up a very insignificant 2.0% over last August. YTD sales for the first 8 months of 2006 were up 11.3% from the comparable period last year.

By comparison, August sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were down 21.1% with sales of only 3,955 units this month and 5,011 units last August. Sales of the MB E Class were down 5.8% for the first 8 months of 2006.
