Thumbs up

Question for audiophiles, can you post your EQ settings?
For example: 0,0,0,1,2,3,0,0 or something like that

You might want to click here and read this post. After that, continue reading the thread to get some additional perspective/opinions as to how to set things up.

I summed up my opinions in this post.

The only thing I'll add now is that I'm finding that many Sirius music stations are quite bass heavy. I haven't had a chance to mess around but I'm going to have to take some bass away when I'm doing any extensive Sirius music listening...

edit: I found one more post that might be of interest right here.

That post was about a 7-series car. There must be some different L7 settings on that car...

EQ settings are not universal.... they change with the music source.

Like Rudy said, Sirius seems bass-heavy.

I am a DJ, and listen to progressive house mostly. I record my CDs at home from vinyl, and master them myself on my computer before burning them. So, clearly my mastering process is nothing even CLOSE to what a professional recording should sound like. So I must adjust my stereo EQ settings to compensate.

I have had many years of experience with competition car audio, as well....

My previous car audio systems had dual 30-band equalizers. To set these I used an AudioControl Real-Time-Analyzer and a test CD. First I would use pink noise test tones to make a perfectly flat EQ response curve.... then I would begin playing high-quality music recordings to adjust the EQ by ear to make it sound better (a perfectly flat EQ curve is not always the best sound). Once I had it sounding good, I would RTA the system again and remove any large spikes from the EQ curve. (In SQ competition you were scored by an RTA meter and had to have a smooth response curve to get high-scores)

Guys, first post here and new and proud owner of a 2005 E60 (my first BMW!). I have a question re the Logic 7. Am right that only the 7 Series gives the option of adjusting the "level" of the Logic 7 effect? I see on a number of posts related to the 7 series that you can adjust more than I can right now on my 545, all I have on mine is the ability to set it to off, concert hall or theater. Anyone know if it's possible to set up additional DSP effects or tweak the "amount" of the L7 processing?
Thanks!

Nothing yet except equalizer, fader (front/rear balance), and the concer hall/theater/off switch. Maybe a s/w update someday... Truthfully, I haven't checked since my s/w upgrade last weekend.
