I think the problem will be solved reset the system, this requires pressing two "eject" buttons (CD and DVD) and push the volume at a time (three buttons at time). Lucky!

I had this problem and found the solution:
Lock the car with your usual key then unlock it with the spare key. Start the car with the spare key - Wollaa - Sound is back. You'll have to bring your usual key to a bmw dealer to get reprogrammed as it has a bug on it.
