I am on my second Auburn E60. It is the only interior color I would get for the E60 in the US. Other countries have additional colors available that could be tempting but in the US you are limited to the boring gray, suspect-looking trim quality on the beige/sand and the rather depressing black (all IMHO).

I just ordered a 550. Monaco blue with Auburn interior and anthracite. I can't help thinking a may have went too far. I haven't actually seen it, i'm going off pictures and samples. Has anyone seen this configuration?

Auburn is no mistake on any color! It's a VERY VERY NICE interior color. Personally I think it goes well with any color... Its top notch on White and black cars... Monaco Blue is dark enough to match it. Heck... I've match it with Silver Gray... it not a light color... not a dark color... but I've gotten more than enough compliments about it.

Stick with Auburn you wont regret it.

its what you like that matters - but in my view it would be a mistake, im just not fond of brown. My taste would dictate grey to contrast nicely with the blue.

cheers

I'm with you on this one it's not for me.... It would be a boring world if we all liked the same though so I would say try to get the dealer to show you one in the "Flesh" even on another model and this will convince you one way or another. It comes down to what you like we can only give our opinions if asked

Good Luck!

Certain colours are popular in certain territories.

I haven't seen (or seen for sale) an auburn interior this side of the pond.

Like you, i agonized and agonized over whether i wanted to get Auburn or not, but I finally went with my guy feeling and ordered it......

I absolutely LOVE IT, and I am so happy I got it. It adds so much more color and elegance to the car......MY opinion.....

Having said that ofcourse, you should try and get your dealer to give you an idea of what it looks like.

I will definitely choose this color again, and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Good luck !

If you are leasing - it is a no brainer - get the Auburn!!!

The only negative is that it may be harder to resell later if you purchase the car.

I was also unsure about the auburn. The pics on the web do no justice. Now that I have the interior I have no regrets. I get more compliments on the interior than the car itself. Go for the auburn!!

Its possible that getting a bad combo will put the lease price up........ my dealer informed me that the car would be harder to sell and have a lowe residual value if i went for the synthetic leather.....

I have bought my car on a UK PCP deal. They take the expected valiue at the end of the payment term and set that aside, and you make payments on the balance. At the end of the term, you can pay the residual and keep the car, or just send it back. If the residual is affected by a bad combo or colour choice, you have a smaller amount set aside as the car will be worth less to the dealer if you give it back), and you pay a greater amount during the payment term as a consequence.

So, certain types of leasing are not pain free if you make a bad choice. Still, im wondering if I shoulda just gone for it and got the synthetic in beige......... I think its being screwed together right now, so my die is cast

cheers
