The worst in on dark colored paint. Every single car I've owned up to this one has been Black, and they all took a beating up front. Repainted, to never be happy with it again.

I'm doing a full exterior detail before the fall with a some teflon love. Its not strong enough to prevent large debri from 80mph chipping your paint on the highways, but your paint literally will feel smooth as glass to where bugs, birdshyt most of that road debri will never penetrate the finish, you'll literally be able to hose it right off.

It goes a long ways to prevent the 'sand blasting' from everyday highway driving. Its expensive though.

I have an A08 and Dr Chip worked pretty good for me. I'm happy with the purchase. I'm going to go over my chips again when I return home. Some were pretty deep and I want it filled as much as possible before putting wax over them.

Good to hear it worked favorably for you. I ordered it, and should be able to tackle this project some time next week. I have 50+ chips

I commute on the GSP and Turnpike and constantly to NYC. My car is completely blasted with Chips. I had an 03 Honda Accord and did the same commute and it did not have all of these chips. My solution was the $40 touch up paint from BMW. paint the chip then fill it with the clear coat. I wouldn't get too obsessed with this, or else you'll spend every weekend fixing chips.

My Deep Sea Blue M Sport front bumper had to be re-sprayed by Dealer after 50K miles...... all highway miles but NO tailgating.
Now @ 75K miles its just the same again :-( Also have damage to side of car where paint is chipped on doors.

In comparison my wife's (cheap) French car has covered the same mileage and has even had stone impacts so hard the hood has dented, but the paint hasn't broken!

My soon to be delivered F10 is silver and will have a clear bra fitted from new as I can't handle that much damage to the darker colours.....
