LOL. I guess its kinda like blowing away a 525 in a 550, eh?

Either way, he shouldnt have been tailgating. When he flipped his lights several times, it was definitely "GO TIME".
i am gonna keep quiet, i drive a 525i.

Me too, but we know the all mighty 550's would smoke us. Speaking of tailgating, I had some douchebag in a mustang about half a foot behind my bumper, as I'm going 70. He keeps trying to pass me and then get stuck behind cars. He finally got around me and COMPLETLY cut me off as I'm going 70 on the highway. I've noticed since getting the e60, I have all these people trying to race me, or cutting me off, doing ricer flybys. I'm not out to race, just cruise.

Had a G8 on my ass in the fast lane today - I was going about 10 over, and this guy was tailgating. Must have just gotten his new car and beleived all the marketing that he read. Silly boy.

While its usually not my style to play along, I was fairly annoyed, so I dropped into 4th, hit the gas, and by the time I was at 120, he was far behind. Either his car wasnt quite the machine he suspected, or he presented with a certain lack of testicular fortitude. Either way, I wasnt impressed.

I should have dropped a card out the window to see if he wants to sue Pontiac for all their deceptive advertising suggesting that the G8 is a 550i equivalent. What a load of baloney.

Cheers.

Let me guess, you were camped out in the left lane? If it had been a G8 GT (gate gut ) he would've had no problems staying on your tail. My guess is you were going to slow (in his opinion) and he simply wanted you to speed up or get out of the way. I do that myself sometimes. I'll tailgate not because I'm challenging the guy in front, but because I want him to speed up and/or move over. I'll match speed with him up to the speed that I want to be cruising at and then let off as he speeds away thinking he's beating me. So I win anyway!

what is up with that? do they can't get a real car so they have to get the fake one? i was driving on the highway the other day and one came beside me trying to race. their design is copied right off of the e60. you can clearly see the wheels, grill, long body.

Not sure about KY, but in CA, 10 over in the fast lane = Please move over, you are going too slow for some. We get so many people that camp out in the left lane. Granted, 10 over is very respectable, but we get some going 5 over and stay there all day.

We all need to take driving lessons from the Germans. If you are in the fast lane, no matter how fast you are going, if someone wants to go faster it is courtesy to flash ones lights, and the slower car moves over and lets them by. The system seems to work pretty nice, when I have driven over there. Too bad they don't teach more of that here.

Sorry to rain on your parade man.

That's when your lack of caring and ego should kick in...you drive a BMW they drive a Pontiac! No contest
