Well equipped. Let the mods begin!
Hey - I noticed that the ashtray is missing in my car ('07 550 - just got it and slowly finding little things).
I don't smoke - but I don't care to look at the unfinished slot where the ashtray goes next to the lighter (which is missing also).
Looks to me like the dealer wanted to disguise that it was a smoker's car maybe...which wouldn't surprise me with this dealer from whom I got the car.
Best source? I imagine this is OEM only, eh? So maybe Tischer?

You don't have to go to the dealer, there may be one you can find used or in a junkyard. Otherwise - yes, only the dealer would sell one new.

Its possible the car was originally built without the "Smokers Package".

I suppose it's possible but US cars come with the smokers package standard. In fact I have ordered two cars from the factory and have never been offered the option of deleting the smokers package. That may be ignorance of the part of the sales person and myself...

Thanks for the input.
I was at the dealer to make an appointment for my first repair...faded HUD...odd and intermittent.
Anyway - $26 for the ashtray...fine. Mine showed "Smokers Package" as an option, by the way.
