My retractable door on my cigarette lighter in the center console is stuck open. Does anyone know of a quick fix? Possibly removal and reset of the sliding/closing door. As always, you input is very appreciated.
Cheers!

LCI or pre-LCI?
For LCI:
U need to remove the long center trim. Unscrew the two bolts holding the climate control and navi/radio. Whole set comes right out. Now, look inside to see what's wrong
For pre-LCI:
Remove the shiftter boot if u have manual. Remove the two or three screws holding the center console piece. If auto, I THINK you have to remove the shifter console. Then remove the screws. Pry the center console piece out. Now, look inside to see what's wrong. You may have to remove the climate control area as well.

My ash tray door gets stuck if I push it open too hard. I usually just the key blade from my keyfob, lever it uner the front edge of door to lift it up a little and pull back toward the gear knob. This is usually enough to free it and it will close.
