That should not be possible, 
because when airbags deploy, engine don't start anymore. Maybe some bypass done to start the engine? 
I have experienced that no twice.

Damn that sucks, so if you bounce off the centre barrier on the motorway and it stalls and the airbag deploys you cant in theory drive yourself out of danger even if the car would physicaly move, that could suck large style in some situations !!! bad move IMHO.
