Anyone no why they switched to the 4.8L from the 4.4L

My Ride: 2011, X6 Hybrid . Alpine White , every option. 20" Conti' NON runflats,OEM trunk spoiler , LUX V3 AE's , HP Thunder Fogs , custom front bumper reflector delete........

I've got the 4.4L engine in my X5 and I think it's wonderful and very torquey, I doubt you would tell much difference vs the 4.8L ............. I drive X5 much harder than my 550 and I think it's great , don't sweat it !!

Try out the 4,8 and then comment again in this thread....

Er...He has a shiny new '08 550 (4.8) and an X5 (4.4) "I drive X5 much harder than my 550 ..."

I know there's the "feet" option, but I notice that you live here in the States, in the South. Nobody walks down here, so I didn't mention it.
