Been looking for an extended warranty. Anyone have good experiences with Warranty Direct? They seem to be the most reliable when reading reviews from other forums.

In the UK warranty Direct covers my 05 530D for £350 ($577), seems you have to pay somewhat more.
I have made two claims, both cases got the cheque within 5 days, so far they have paid out double what I have paid in premiums.

My dealer threw in an extended warranty with Coverage One for an extra year at the end of the base warranty. It seems to be very comprehensive, with a 50 dollar deductible. It cost him about 3000 CDN.

I would only get the BMW CPO warranty. Or keep the money in a savings account because you will need it.

If I'm not mistaken, if you are still under your factory (4 year, 50,000 miles) warranty you can purchase the 100k warranty for about $2500 (US). It is fairly expensive but when you look at the part they are having the recall on right now (Brake line I believe), that part alone goes for about $1300. Always a gamble but if you have time might wanna put some money aside. I have 31k on my 2008 550i right now and will be purchasing the 100k when the time comes. Good luck!
