Hey all I'm looking at replacing all the speakers in my car except the center channel and subs, with the Focal K2 series....Does anyone have any experience with Focal or specifically this line? They are a little pricey but from what I understand, well worth the money!

ive got k2 front and back 4inch with the tweeters running off an alpine pdx 4.100. it is magic man, if you want good quality sound i rest assure that is the sh*t. it made more of a difference than the centre ones which i replaced to earhquakes!

Ok, i take it that this is not an audio forum but your question does need abit more info to be answered properly.
But aside that there are afew basic things to consider
a) have you actually listened to the focals or the bsw ? Tastes and listened music change dramaticaly from one person to another so really the only
way to spend your cash smartly is listen to what you're going to buy. Going just by recommendations, reviews or specs is just worthless.
Listen to the speakers your interested in, it doesn't have to be an exact system match, but will give you an idea
b) forgive me but i'm not clued in the us version of the e60 sound system. Do you have an amplifier and the "better" version of the cd player ?
You are wasting your speakers potential -and money - with crap headunit or subpar amplifier.
c)yes i can definately say there must be a premium you pay on bsw for having and easy plug in speaker ie. get less for your money. It is car specific
speakers and have a smaller market than any other speaker brand.BUT if you think you'll not bother with drilling -IF needed- a couple more holes or soldering a bmw connector it may be the only way to go.
d) mix and (try to) match speakers is not really a good idea. The underseat speakers are midrange really so do influence the sound not just the bass -unless of course there is a crossover there-. I don't know if the centre speaker also plays all the time , if it does, you're mixing and matching and usually the outcome is not really nice.
e) Yes Focals are really nice but first you have to like the sound of them and secondly they need proper matching and setup to sound their best. For instance i wouldn't use them with a bright unit ie. Alpine
f) i've just noticed i've answered mostly for the other topic you posted... oh well
