I've got a silly question. My ride has been updated with 16.2. I did not go for 17. & 18. If and when I finally get the CIP 19.0 update, will I miss whatever good that was updated in the previous two software upgrades?

My Ride: 2005 545i (SMG)
Titanium Gray
Black Interior, Anthracite Trim
M-tech kit
Sport Package
Premium Sound
Satellite Radio
Active Cruise
Comfort Seats
Navigation
Folding rear seats
My update was free.
I suggest you do what I did:
My car reached 15,000 miles, and it was time for service. So I made a list on my computer, detailing all my issues.
Some examples:
1. Radio always turned on after car start, even if it was muted when parked previously.
2. Steering wheel position memory not functioning properly.
I wrote along with these items the software version # that fixes the problem, proving that I have done the research and know it's an issue.
I gave the list to my service rep, and they did my reprogram for free along with the oil service.
So... find the thread with the CIP #s and fixes... figure out which problems you have, and point them out to the dealer. They should update you if you have a known issue.
