I got in my car to come home and none of the buttons on my steering wheel were working. Weird they worked perfectly this morning - any ideas?

Not sure why but I'm thinking reboot or reset, not fuse.

See if they work after the car has been alsleep for a while. If not, then maybe a battery disconnect then reconnect? Again, I'm just guessing here...

All those buttons have to be connected to a module of some sort and that should be fused. I'd check the fuse panel.

Let me see Rudy, is the reset: Key in the ignition (not started), press DVD and CD eject for 30 secs?

Don't think the engine running or not makes a difference but you need to press three buttons simultaneously -- the two you mentioned plus the volume/mute knob...

Ok thanks Rudy, I'll give it a shot. Does it delete all the settings too?

F28, 20 Amp, in the fuse block behind the glove box powers the steering column switch center which in turn powers the electronic
steering wheel module actually located in the steering wheel. Does the horn work? And the lights behind the buttons?
Be mindful of disconnecting the airbag if you have to go deep!
Hopefully Rudy's reset will do the trick

Damn, nice job OK Thanks, I'll try the reset then the fuse. I couldn;t tell if the lights were on behind the buttons - it was still daylight here. Horn works
