Anyone ever replace the oil filter Profile Gasket on a 545?
Peeps,
Realoem.com shows:
Profile Gasket 11417508114
which looks to be a seal between the oil filter cavity and oil pan/block (number 4 pictured here):
RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog
Not sure if it is the culprit... but I have oil leaking like a sieve from the oil filter canister area. I am hoping it is just the canister and or seal but it case it is this seal... how difficult is it to replace?
Thanks!

Profile gasket update...
So I removed the oil pan because after removing the oil filter canister, I noticed oil drops on the floor directly below the oil pan and definitely not coming from the oil filter area. I will be replacing the lower pan gasket.I attached a photo with what I believe realoem.com is calling a Profile Gasket 11417508114 (there is an arrow pointing to it. Not sure how to get at it but it sure looks like the upper pan needs to be removed to get to it. Also looks like even if the Profile Gasket was perished, it would not cause oil to leak out and and puddle on the floor. Think I'll just replace the canister and pan gasket and hope for the best!

I am about to replace my lower oil pan gasket because there are small drops of oil on some of the bolts holding it on.
Did you replace your pan bolts or just reuse the old ones. I can't really find anything that says to replace them.
Seems if you torque them and maybe add some blue Loctite everything should be good.
It looks like a very simple job compared to just about anything else. I already did the alternator gasket replacement and it was very involved, but not that hard.
How did your lower pan gasket job go? Any problems or suggestions?
Thanks
Tom K.
