Anyone ever change Control Arm Bushings?

The oil didn't help. While the OEM units may handle a bushing repress, the FCP Grotons didn't. I wouldn't recommend a repress on an aftermarket control arm I guess is the end result of my experience.

I guess in my case (since I have short drives) I would still try them.

The FCP Groton ones are good, but they do have issues. They don't have the fluid in hte bushing like the OEM ones have, and the ends of the bushings tend to pop out under hard driving so you will have to lift the car and pop them back in. Other than that they worked pretty damn well on my 530. I think I will just go with OEM when my 550 needs them,

I got tired of not being able to install bushing on the thrust arms of all my BMW's. so, I purchased a small A frame press from harbor freight and fabricated new steel uprights to give the press more height/throat. Works great for pressing in bushings and makes the job super easy. Something to consider.
