The e60 would be a fun to drive there and I have seen e39 M5s on track. The only thing that would be potentially an issue is tires and brakes. For the e60 race pads would be a must as the stock compound would fade even at beginner speeds. In the BMW Club world, only 3 chapters hold events at WGI - Genesee, Patroon and Boston. I instruct with Genesse. For a first timer at the Glen, it definately is very intimidating so a slow gradual build up is a must. As cool as the Glen is, it can be very unforgiving when someone makes a mistake. After all, the track is in a channel of blue armco.

I'm actually planning on doing this on Sunday: http://www.etownraceway.com/road_course.aspx
Sure, it's cool to show off your powerhouse 550/M5/M3/etc, but in the end, it's all about the fun
Going with a friend of mine - he's taking his heavily modded Caliber SRT4 (~400+ HP at the wheel). Another friend is tagging along with this (non-Evo) Lancer

Not yet but i plan on taking it to the track to log some 1/4 mile time and 0-60 times. Im just waiting on my exhaust and possibly a Jb4. Btw, lots of people run their BMWs out here in sacramento. Mostly M3s but i have seen a few e60s.
