I have an 525 also, and am joining BMWCCA here soon. I don't necessarily want to race, but I do want to get her out on the track and open her up!

I race mine daily to and fro the office. I usually top out at 130 or so depending on traffic & road conditions. Here in Detroit the cops don't really focus on speeders or setting up speed traps...they are too busy looking for guns, drugs, murderers or bribes.

thanks well so far its got lowering springs soon to be Ksport coilovers AFE cai mtech bumpers VMR VB3 19" staggered wheels custom magnaflow exhaust racing dynacmic tune and hawk pads. i do race it to and from work to but its just more fun on an open track were u dont have to worry about traffic

Kudos to you. Two decades ago I did some scca autox in my 1.8 Scirocco and had a blast. No question any fiver would do great in autox. Been thinking about a few laps of the Nurnburgring and your thread is making me think it should happen this summer; thx.

I would love to take my car to a real course like watkins glen or something but autox in northern jersey only has a road course race at englishtown drift track

My Ride: 2008 550i M-Tech Sport Package, Carbon Black, Black/Anthracite Bamboo
Was thinking about doing a DE event this summer in my 550i at Mid-Ohio. Now that my track 951 has found a new home, I'm forced to try out the daily driver on track. Besides, I'll need new set of summers towards the end of the season and can't think of a better way to help speed up the process.
