I am swaping cars... traded my 530xi for a 535xi.
I have a couple projects to get through and will entertain myself through the winter weeks by snapping some pics and writing some pithy comments on the process.
1) My new E60 has the cold weather pkg bit NOT heated REAR seats. I ordered a heated seat package from a vendor and will start this weekend on retrofitting rear heated seats! Seat and back heated for $180 - 2 temp settings!
2) I have an Escort 9500ci radar/laser system I removed from the last E60 and need to install it a second time.
3) I have an extra IBOC HD radio module that I will retrofit into my new E60. I have Logic 7 radio and Sat but no HD radio. The IBOC module is crazy $$ at $900 and I normally wouldn't care but I happen to have one so I will get it wired in with the proper fiber connections and then deal with the coding to get it recognized.

Of course, the more entusiasm I get from this little teaser the more inclined I am to actually write it up. No response.... I won't waist my time!
I expect to need some help from folks like Bruce_Miranda and BLooD and others on the IBOC bit! At least I have an '07 with IBOC to look at to figure out what I need for my '08!

Yep- the heated seats are self contained and require nothing from the manufacturer
Everyone else - Thanks for the support!
My first step in this DIY was to shovel 2' of snow out of my drive to get the other car out of my way in the garage.
Do a search if you want to learn how to do that!
