I'd like to purchase a set of 19" or 20" wheels for the summer, but almost every site i check out has none or a very limited selection that will fit the XI models. Is there anyone here that has 20's on there 535XI? Idealy I wanted a set of 166 or 167's in 19 inch. But thats supposedly a no no. I'm sick of the 18's and need to upgrade to something bigger. I'll post a picture of my last vehicle to show why it is that I can't have the stock 18's. You'll probably all have a good laugh, lol... BLING!!!

That is correct. 166, 167 and172 wheels will NOT fit your car. I mean, they will mount, but unless you like your wheels sticking out WAY beyond your wheel wells, than it's not an option.
The best wheel options for an E60 xi are 3 series wheels. Yes, 3 series. When searching for wheels, narrow your search down to E46 wheels and see what comes up. If money is no object, getting custom 20" wheels with the proper offsets make this another option, but since mine was a lease and I'm not doing an xi again, it made no sense to go this route for me.
The ideal offsets are ET35 - ET40 in the Front and ET40 - ET50 in the Rear, assuming you want to run staggered.
I have the M3 CSL wheels (staggered). Set-up is as follows:
19x8.5 ET40
19x9.5 ET45 (Running 10mm spacers in the rear to make them flush
You can also use this too, when figuring out what will work and what won't:
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
Your stock specs are:
8", ET43 (At all 4 corners if you have the non-sport)
8" ET43 & 9" ET55 (If you have the sport package with the 124 staggered set-up)
Good luck and happy shopping!

Hey C,
How are those 10mm spacers looking? I assume you aren't rubbing...let me know because I am considering it and have been meaning to ask you first.
As for the OP, ...what C said! Good luck!

I contacted vipmodular.com and got a quote. Tell me if this sounds good,
"20 inch will run for $1465 a wheel, I can offer you $1200 a wheel which will run about $4800 a set. I recommend running 20x8.5 front and 20x10.5 rear for you 535.. Lip size will be 2.5" front and 4.0" rear. Tire I can get for you but will run around $1050 for falken, hankook, nitto etc. $1300 we can get higher end tires for perfomance. a package Deal will run about $5850 with average tires... Shipping to Canda depend to a business or Local will be around $250-350 with duty."
My vehicle is a lease so I don't know if I wanna fork out that kinda dough on wheels. I was thinking more like $3000. I might go with the vip's though. With what the representative stated above does that sound right? and would the wheels fit?
