Hopefully someone can help me figure out if it's possible to do this. My car has been sitting in the garage for 2 months while I was away from home, and I would like to avoid starting it "dry" with all the oil drained back into the pan. I want to turn the engine over for a few seconds before starting it so some oil pressure can build. I know on some other cars there is a trick to hold down the accelerator before starting, but don't want to try this with a push-button ignition unless I am 100% sure it works. I hope there is a similar trick for the E60 written somewhere that someone knows, perhaps in a service manual... thanks in advance.

Pull the fuse for the ignition or fuel pump.
