156 K KM (97 K Miles) doing 56mpg highway and 40 mpg in city.
Better change accessory belt (minor vibration) at that mileage and full overall inspection.
Had to repair the rear boot micro switch (humidity got in) the trunk would pop open by itself at start up.

I have an 04 545 with 134k.
No real big issues so far. Simple, cheap, easy stuff.
-I had the crappy plastic or whatever material "T/Y" fitting for the coolant steam crossover hose (top of the heads infront of the intake) break on me. Temporary fix, with a plastic vacuum T and then I just welded up a metal one so I wouldn't have anymore issues with it breaking.
-Valve seals are bad. After idling for an extended time, I can see a good puff of smoke in the mirrors. Not really a huge deal, parts wise. And other than having white smoke, they aren't bad enough to be fouling plugs or anything.
-Secondary Air Injection Pump. The pump is running so I know thats not the issue. But havent pulled the intake to check the hoses and valves yet. The codes are for both banks.
-Trans pan was leaking when I bought the car. Simple/cheap fix. New pan/filter and a fluid change and its completely dry.

I have an 05 545i with about 138k. Bought the car at 90k and at about 100k everything started to go bad. I think I just about had to replace EVERYTHING that's attached to the engine block... lol
Even though its in the shop more than I can drive it, it's still a fun car.

07 525i loaded with most if not all fancy electronics it comes with stock currently at 105k and still drives like a beauty. Haven't had any major issues yet just regular oil change,tire's... a burnt taillight bulb is only thing I can remember... Just treat it good.

2004 545 - Bought 11/2013 with 118k km now 128k km. I've replaced the entire cooling system including the coolant pipe as it sat undriven for nearly 4 years before I bought it. Also all oil leaks have been addressed. Other than being disappointed because it runs so hot, I can't be happier. Plan to keep it for at least 3 years.
